Association of Chinese Americans For Social Justice
A non-profit organization, under Section 501(c)(3)
Purpose of the organization is educational and charitable:
Educational: To instruct, train, and raise awareness about the contributions of Chinese Americans, both historical and current. This includes, but is not limited to: 1.) providing educational materials, as well as conducting public forums, seminars, clinics, and other public events, that advocate and train about Chinese Americans, and their economic, political, and social rights; 2.) producing a comprehensive written history of notable Chinese Americans; and 3.) advocating for the addition of Chinese American history into the school curriculum.
Charitable: To eliminate prejudice and discrimination, defend human and civil rights secured by law, lessen neighborhood tensions, and combat community deterioration by: 1.) promoting civic responsibility among Chinese Americans; and 2.) fostering positive relationships between ethnic groups through educational, cultural, and philanthropic programs; and 3.) assisting Chinese Americans with successful integration into American culture.
